What is it like to call the Helpline?

We are a team of highly-trained advisers

We won’t judge you or tell you what to do; we are here to listen.

We will empower you

We will help you to understand your options and support you to make any decisions about the future.

We can support you to increase your safety

We can help you find a refuge space, or other specialist services.

We can talk in confidence

We only speak in English, but the legal teams we pass you over to, may be able to communicate in other languages. Our opening hours are between 9am and 6pm on Monday to Friday.

Accessing refuge and other services

As someone fleeing domestic abuse, you may want to access specialist refuge accommodation. The Helpline can help you find a refuge vacancy for you and your children; call us for more information. We can also support you to find other specialist services in your community, which can provide support whether or not you have left your partner.
